What training is required?
As with training through Induction or Wood Badge, the validation of skills and knowledge is essential and learning is only needed if a learner doesn’t already have the skills and knowledge.
If a learner and their Training Adviser agree that learning is needed, there are a number of ways that this is available:
- Independent learning units – available for all of the core skill areas. The core skill areas are the validation areas which act as modules within your Personal Learning Plan.
- Courses – these are run with other counties across South East England. This link takes you directly to the booking page for the events.
The Adult Personal File for Managers and Supporters and the TA Guide for Managers and Supporters both have the following matrix showing how the skills areas, independent learning units, and courses fit together.
